Nothing more special than spending time with your other half’s family. And the cherry on top is that his/her family welcomes you with open arms. The fact that we are of different countries, views, cultures and so on, these don’t give them any reason to dislike me. Neither they do to me. My only hope now is to continue living in harmony with them. How are you with your in-laws?
The family took us to Hanwha Resorts for 2 nights. It was so thoughtful of them to plan it. Just like the Filipino culture, Korean folks have their own ways to make the family bond. It felt good to know that they wanted to create that bond with me.
I’d definitely recommend this theme resort if your family wants to simply unwind and spend time away from the rushing city. It’s also a good place to get close to nature. You can see the grandeur of Mt. Seorak and the refreshing East Sea. The whole family can also take joy in leisure facilities like the water park, film and drama sets, and golf courses. Trivia: This resort has been visited by some Korean celebrities. If you know the cutie triplets Daehan, Minguk and Manse who are my favorite kiddos in 슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다 (The Return of Superman), I saw photos of them there enjoying in the water park called Seorak Waterpia.
One thing that I relished was the Tubester in the Lake Park.
It was so relaxing. Thanks to the hubby for being the captain of the day. This is good for talks with the family over coffee or anything that pleases each member. The swimming creatures also entertained us in their little way. If only I could speak and understand Korean very well, it could have been nicer. I was there with Danny, his nephew, uncle, and father. Despite the lack of communication, I felt close to them especially when they tried to talk to me. Here’s a shot.
Overall my stay there with the family was worthwhile. It’s not about the place but it’s about who you are with. 🙂
