Lawson, Inc. is a convenience store franchise chain in Japan. It actually originated in Cuyahoga Falls, near Cleveland and Akron, in the U.S. state of Ohio, but today prevails as a Japanese company. You can see the store in almost every corner of the big cities or wards in Japan. By happy chance, there’s one that’s few steps away from our place.
Saw this ad on FB that caught my mouth, I mean eye. Because it’s getting hotter, I thought I could give it a try. When you’re a foodie, you just can’t say no at times! 😀
On the 2nd week of this month, Lawson introduced a new frozen drink from its cafè called Machi Cafè. As of today, this unique drink has 4 varieties namely Chocolate, Mango, Matcha, and Caramel Coffee. This one’s first on the list.
This is made with carefully selected chocolate ingredients topped with fresh cream produced in Hokkaido.
Did I mention “unique”? In order for you to enjoy its rich taste and get that real refreshing feeling, you have to warm it up prior to consumption. The recommended temperature is written in its cup.
This is the thing that I missed which made me think that it was kind of bizarre to drink a frozen drink. 😀 My bad, I only checked the writings right after finishing it. I thought it would naturally melt down as you stir and mix it. However, it took me a few minutes to finally take a sip. The excitement died down. Buuuut~ it was so good!
Totally enjoyed the rich chocolate taste and fresh cream! I didn’t really sense the watery flavor. In addition, there were choco bits which I really liked. The most important point? It wasn’t too sweet! Absolutely refreshing! Next time, I might as well follow the advise to avoid the inconvenience of waiting. 😀
You’ve been warned, you might feel bloated after. 😀
One down, 3 more to go! Stay tuned!
