~via Weekly Photo Challenge: Elemental~

Living in a unit on the 5th floor has both ups and downs. One of the downsides is the emphasized tremors you feel in moments of despicable earthly movements. As you may know, Japan is often visited by nobody’s friend named “earthquake.” Not in all places, of course. On the other hand, one of the advantages is having to witness awesome moments that you see up in the sky. You get to see things as if they’re only an inch away from you.

This is one of the wonderful moments..

It was a showery afternoon. As soon as it died down, the sky appeared crimson-ish in some parts. I stepped out of the living room and stood at the balcony. To my surprise, a beautiful rainbow was held still in the midst of the blowing cool air. Not only was it a very refreshing sight, but also a cheering atmosphere. Can you feel it now?

  1. Beautiful rainbow. It’s always hard to guess when there’ll be a rainbow. But it’s always beautiful when it happens. Such a lovely view from your balcony. I hear that in Japan, many apartments are built to withstand tremors…so you should be okay 🙂
